When looking for career coaches or counselors the basic truth is: all the coaches and counselors divide basically into three groups:

a.) Those who are honest, compassionate, and caring, and know what they're doing.

b.) Those who are honest but don't know what they're doing.

c.) Those who are dishonest, and merely want your money-large amounts, in a lump sum, and up front. These are often so-called executive counseling firms-some executive counseling firms-rather than individual counselors.

Your job is if you want help and do not want to waste your money, you have to learn how to distinguish one from the other. When looking for coaches see if they give you a bad vibe if they do there is a good chance that they are just in it for the money and you should stay away from them. Coaches and counselors can help you find a job easier and prepare you for the interview, but it is solely up to you in order to secure that job when you go for the job interview. You need to believe in yourself and have confidence in who you are and what makes you stand apart from others.
